Quality Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Identify and control manufacturing process defects such as scrap, nonconforming material, and customer complaints by implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Develop product quality plans, specifications, and systems in collaboration with product development teams.
• Create risk analyses and FMEAs to ensure product safety and reliability.
• Develop process monitoring systems to identify critical steps and reduce process variation.
• Lead process improvement efforts by analyzing quality metric data to enhance sustaining product design and new product development.
• Assist in the creation of quality tools and training materials to improve departmental effectiveness.
• Provide guidance to less experienced staff and manage daily work routines to meet established schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 2-5 years of related experience in Quality engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the medical device industry.
