About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain plant quality systems in alignment with global programs, including ISO, GMP, HACCP, FMEA, and allergen control
- Develop, review, and update SOPs in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective validation and verification
- Lead and coordinate internal, customer, supplier, and third-party audits, including preparation, execution, and corrective actions
- Conduct risk assessments, process analysis, and root cause investigations to reduce quality defects and rejection rates
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools and methodologies to enhance process efficiency
- Monitor and analyze quality performance data to prepare statistical reports and recommend preventative actions
- Organize and deliver quality-related training to promote a strong quality culture across the plant
- Support non-conformance handling and troubleshooting of product failures in collaboration with QC and operations teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biological Science, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience in QA/QC/QE roles within the flavors, fragrances, or food processing industry
- Solid knowledge of quality management systems, GMP, HACCP, and product safety requirements
- Strong project management capability with hands-on experience in quality engineering tools (e.g., Six Sigma)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional quality certifications such as ASQ CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
- Experience with Chinese regulatory requirements related to product quality and safety
- Practical experience managing external customer and regulatory audits
- Good English skills for documentation and communication with global teams
- Experience in sensory evaluation or consumer-related quality assessment
