Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate quality requirements, processes, and practices into product development and manufacturing.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) at the factory level.
• Develop test strategies, build test setups, and automate test frameworks and plans.
• Analyze new product designs and specifications to identify and mitigate potential quality issues.
• Implement process changes to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower production costs.
• Perform root-cause analysis to resolve moderate-scope technical and quality issues.
• Consolidate and analyze test reports and process data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate detailed issue analysis and recommendations to quality engineering leaders and product teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or an equivalent engineering field.
• 5-10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years specifically in PC or 3C (computer, communication, and consumer electronics) products.
• Strong knowledge of quality processes including IQC, IPQC, OQC, and various line/process audits (ISO, ESD, SOP, etc.).
• Proficiency in quality tools such as 8D, CAPA, Lean, and 6S.
• Solid understanding of current PC architecture, hardware, and software.
• Fluency in both English and Tamil.
• Ability to work onsite at our CM partner factory near Sriperumbudur/Chennai.
• Flexibility to support operations during weekends or outside standard business hours if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with programming, scripting, or data mining and analytics.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and automated test frameworks.
• Proven experience in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.
