Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Organize and execute test activities to ensure applications meet GM IT standards for functional, system, quality, security, performance, and architecture requirements
• Drive test planning, execution, and quality reporting of software applications through project engagements and sustaining software test activities
• Create manual and automated test cases and test execution plans
• Maintain test benches and develop in-house software and hardware tools to enable end-user control
• Monitor lab health and develop processes to increase lab capability and efficiency
• Provide support in analyzing and resolving customer issues and document work in Jira

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Two years of experience as an Infotainment Engineer or in a related occupation
• Experience with low-voltage electrical troubleshooting, including wiring and multimeter usage
• Proficiency with UDS Diagnostics and CAN tools/software such as Vehicle Spy and CANoe
• Experience with Shell, Batch, and Powershell scripting
• Ability to configure both Microsoft and Linux operating systems
• Experience developing automation scripts to streamline operational activities, image PCs, and flash/debug Electronic Control Units (ECUs)
• Ability to read and interpret vehicle electrical architecture schematics and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
