About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Devise sampling procedures and design forms for recording and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Implement methods for the disposition of discrepant material and assess associated costs.
- Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing products and tabulating quality data.
- Compile training materials and conduct sessions on quality control activities.
- Initiate and track corrective action requests to satisfactory completion.
- Assist with the development and implementation of quality audits.
- Design methods for inspecting and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Approve product, process, and equipment qualifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of professional experience in a quality engineering role.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts including exponents, logarithms, and permutations.
- Proficiency in applying mathematical operations to frequency distribution, sampling theory, and analysis of variance.
- Ability to interpret complex technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Knowledge of electronic assembly, including color codes, components, and schematics.
- Proficiency with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and cable/harness testing equipment.
- Experience with inspection tools including microscopes and various measuring instruments.
