Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes for internal problems and implement short- and long-term corrective actions
• Participate in Tier 3 and 4 Lean daily meetings and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
• Assign key tasks to process auditors based on production schedules
• Coach and mentor operators on quality criteria and identifying abnormal conditions
• Track and monitor internal key metrics, including internal PPMs and scrap rates
• Support customer complaints through containment and structured root cause analysis
• Assist in the creation of Control Plans and PFMEAs
• Use statistical tools and structured problem-solving techniques to predict and resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with all housekeeping, quality, and safety regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of college education
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not provided)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt principles
• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment
