Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support Caterpillar Quality Management System audits and certification efforts
• Lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts to prevent recurrence of issues
• Ensure built-in quality (BIQ) is maintained through daily coaching and project tracking
• Conduct internal quality audits and facilitate management reviews
• Develop and deliver training programs regarding quality specifications to employees
• Implement the Idea Generation Process and Corrective and Preventive action processes
• Support 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and SAP integration to achieve zero-defect operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing (or equivalent experience)
• 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role
• Thorough knowledge of quality concepts, including process control and analysis
• Working knowledge of ISO9000 standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coaching others on problem-solving techniques
• Strong communication and influence skills to work with all levels of leadership and staff
• Hands-on experience teaching manufacturing employees how to apply quality tools and techniques
