Responsibilities

• Manage and support incoming and production inspection teams
• Oversee inspections for machined, molded, electronic, and assembled components using metrology equipment
• Own and manage the Material Review Board (MRB) process
• Generate and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
• Design and develop Go/No-Go gauges and inspection fixtures
• Maintain quality data and workflows using Smartsheet, Google Sheets, and Dozuki
• Review engineering drawings to identify critical dimensions and tolerances
• Operate the company CMM for advanced dimensional verification
• Investigate root causes of quality issues and drive CAPA
• Partner with customer support to troubleshoot field failures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• 4-6 years of experience in quality engineering
• Expert knowledge of metrology tools and gauges
• Advanced understanding of GD&T Principles
• Strong knowledge of quality management principles and methodologies
• Ability to lead cross-functional root cause analysis (RCA) efforts
• Ability to travel internationally roughly 10% of the time
• Must reside within commuting distance of Torrance, CA
