About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the main focal point for customers, internal teams, and suppliers regarding all quality issues throughout the program lifecycle
- Project manage product quality requirements through ISIR, capability studies, AAR, NPI, APQP, and PPAP
- Define and support the introduction of necessary test equipment and gauging to satisfy quality requirements
- Optimize measurement techniques using SPC and support DOE activities
- Lead team preparation of Control Plans and support D/PFMEA reviews
- Manage and respond to customer concerns using 8D or other problem-solving techniques
- Manage customer-specific KPIs related to Reject PPM and CAR performance
- Conduct internal and external audits
- Monitor warranty acceptance rates and conduct negotiations to correct warranty billing
Requirements
- Proven experience in Quality Engineering within an Automotive Tier 1 environment
- Degree, HND, HNC, IQA, or equivalent qualification
- Experience with automotive industry systems including IATF16949, ISO9001, APQP, and PPAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with plastics
- Exposure to Jaguar and Land Rover
