Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project quality processes in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements
• Prepare and manage Project Quality Management Plans (PQMPs)
• Control quality documentation including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and corrective actions
• Plan and conduct internal audits across design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning
• Coordinate and manage external audits involving clients, certification bodies, and suppliers
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
• Lead root cause investigations and manage corrective and preventive action programmes
• Advise Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams on quality-related matters

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (or equivalent military experience)
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (IRCA or equivalent)
• NEC3 accreditation (Supervisor or PM training)
• 5-10 years of experience in quality engineering
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems aligned to ISO 9001
• Experience with MEICA installations and pumping systems
• Understanding of WIMES standards
• Ability to interpret pump curves, electrical schematics, and instrumentation datasheets
• CSCS/SMSTS or equivalent SHE qualification

Preferred Qualifications

• Membership of CQI (Practitioner or Chartered)
• Water industry or AMP programme experience
• NDT/Welding inspection (CSWIP/PCN)
• CompEx or electrical authorisation familiarity
