Quality Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise quality control activities in the warehouse and maquilas to ensure compliance with standards.
• Supervise traceability records, lot control, and expiration dates, validating correct product rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
• Perform and coordinate cyclic counts, periodic inventories, and reconciliations, investigating root causes for variations.
• Collaborate with Reception, Warehouse, Production, and Quality areas for the release of materials and finished products.
• Develop, update, and monitor compliance with quality and warehouse procedures, formats, and records.
• Train and supervise operational staff in quality, safety, and food safety practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize warehouse processes and reduce shrinkage.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, quality supervision in warehouse/maquila environments, and coordinating material reception/dispatch.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams of 8-20 people.
• Knowledge of quality and food safety standards (BPM, HACCP or similar).
• Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (SAP or Oracle preferred) and perpetual inventory control.
• Expertise in FIFO/FEFO, lot management, and cyclic counts.
• Intermediate/advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical, Food Engineering, Administration, Logistics, or related field.
