Quality Controller/Technician (Polisher)

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles following repair and paintwork completion
• Identify defects, inconsistencies, or missed repairs and arrange rectification
• Ensure vehicles comply with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
• Act as the final quality checkpoint before vehicle release
• Adhere to all BS10125 standards
• Complete quality control documentation accurately
• Liaise with technicians and workshop controllers to resolve issues
• Perform machine polishing and buffing of painted surfaces
• Remove defects such as runs, dust inclusions, orange peel, and minor scratches
• Prepare vehicles for handover to ensure they are clean and presentable

Requirements

• Experience working in the vehicle repair industry
• Knowledge of vehicle legislation and trade practices
• Understanding of the vehicle repair process
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate repair issues constructively
• Ability to work under pressure
