Quality Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect components, repairs, and pump assemblies per engineering drawings, specifications, and ISO procedures
• Perform final quality inspections on in-house and subcontracted repairs prior to shipment
• Document component dimensions and inspection findings electronically
• Conduct customer and workshop hold point inspections to verify technical compliance
• Identify and report non-conforming products or procedures
• Maintain, track, and store precision measurement instruments and inspection equipment
• Ensure calibration requirements are completed and documented in accordance with ISO standards
• Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, and CMM equipment
• Maintain organized inspection records, NCRs, and traceability documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Demonstrated knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, or compressors
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and OEM specifications
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
• Understanding of ISO requirements, calibration control, and quality documentation standards
• Computer literacy for electronic documentation and record maintenance
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting, kneeling, and bending

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate degree in a related field
• Experience in industrial repair environments or quality control
• Familiarity with NDT methods (visual, dye penetrant, magnetic particle, or ultrasonic testing)
• Knowledge of vibration fundamentals and alignment concepts
