About the role

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot QC laboratory instruments
  • Follow good laboratory practices and maintain instrument preventative maintenance schedules
  • Evaluate assay runs for accuracy and acceptability according to Quality Control procedures
  • Enter results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Order supplies and interface with other departments as required
  • Support testing and documentation needs during the manufacture and release of control products

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in a science field or equivalent clinical lab experience
  • 3+ years of QC or clinical laboratory experience
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data
  • Ability to work the third shift (5:00 pm to 1:30 am)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using clinical laboratory techniques and equipment
  • Experience running chemistry, hematology, and immunoassay analyzers
  • Experience with a Laboratory Information System (LIS)
