Quality Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-the-line quality checks for labeling, portioning, meal bagging, and shipping against recipe specifications and QA standards
• Verify ingredient amounts, shelf life, and proper line setup prior to and during production
• Perform hourly inspections of portioned ingredients and completed meal bags for accuracy
• Inspect meat and proteins for quality issues such as freezer burn, discoloration, or broken seals
• Complete QC documentation for inbound and outbound ingredients and escalate food safety issues to FSQA leadership
• Execute final box verification, document discrepancies, and provide feedback to production supervisors
• Maintain and organize QA equipment, utensils, and documentation for shift transitions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in food quality preferred
• Understanding of facility GMPs and food safety systems (SQF)
• Ability to work Day shift (6:30 AM – 5:30 PM) with days off on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a food production or manufacturing quality control environment
• Familiarity with portioning equipment, scales, and measuring tools
