About the role
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming components, materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products for compliance with specifications
- Perform functional and performance testing on sub-assemblies including motors, processors, power supplies, and sensors
- Execute and document test protocols per established procedures
- Identify, record, and track defects through quality management systems
- Maintain calibration of inspection and testing equipment
- Initiate and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Collaborate with Quality, NPI, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Operate and troubleshoot automated programming equipment for microcontrollers
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in quality control or testing of IoT, Aerospace, robotics, or camera hardware
- Experience inspecting to IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
- Understanding of wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE)
- Proficiency with measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Knowledge of Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) principles
- Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, or spectrum analyzers
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Proficiency with Google Docs and Google Sheets
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar certification
- Technical Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Quality Assurance
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100
- Certified IPC Specialist (CIS)
- Familiarity with J-STD-001
- Experience with Python and Android Development (ADB)
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with PTC Arena Quality Management Software
