Quality Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI testing at cement and Ready Mix plants
• Verify product compliance with quality specifications and notify management of deviations
• Assist with product mix design and monitor impact on kiln processes
• Maintain detailed records of tests, inspections, and quality reports
• Perform lab housekeeping and basic equipment maintenance
• Follow all Cemex, OSHA, and MSHA safety policies and wear proper PPE
• Respond to callouts and participate in plant outages as required

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in applied science or 2 years of cement plant experience
• 2 to 4 years of experience in a quality-related role
• ASTM certification or the ability to obtain it within the first year
• Proficiency in Excel and lab software
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
• Ability to pass a physical exam, including vision, hearing, and respiratory fit tests

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade certification
• Military experience
• Journeyman credentials
• 4 years of experience in a similar industry
