Quality Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Execute GMP QC Molecular Biology methods, focusing on molecular and protein analytics, including ELISA and Cell-Based Potency testing.
• Perform GMP QC Microbiology methods, including Sterility testing, Bioburden Analysis, and Endotoxin testing.
• Support testing for drug substances and drug products to generate data for various studies.
• Conduct laboratory analyses including TOC, Conductivity, Bioburden, Sterility, and Endotoxin.
• Participate in method transfer projects for internal and external laboratories.
• Assist in equipment and method qualifications, validations, and general laboratory operational maintenance.
• Provide support during internal and vendor audits and manage the preparation/shipping of contract laboratory samples.

Requirements

• BSc/BA in a relevant scientific discipline.
• 5 years of Quality Control experience within a cGMP organization.
• Specialization in Molecular Biology, DNA Sequencing, and Microbiology.
• Ability to work full-time on-site at the Laval, Canada manufacturing facility.
• Minimum of 2 years of work authorization required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques such as gel electrophoresis, qPCR, and Sanger Sequencing.
• Practical experience with microbiology testing techniques (e.g., Vitek, Isolator Technology, BET).
• Working knowledge of FDA, EU, and ICH guidelines and regulations.
• Proven ability to conduct investigations and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in both French and English.
