Quality Control Specialist I

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced testing of raw materials and finished goods, including pH, conductivity, particle, stability, and shelf-life testing.
• Conduct microbiological tests, including environmental and sample monitoring, sterility tests, and microbial limits tests.
• Execute QC functional assays using techniques such as electrophoresis, western blotting, and ELISA.
• Perform data analysis, create batch records, and generate Certificates of Analysis (CofA).
• Conduct first article testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and feasibility/capability studies.
• Validate QC protocols, testing methodologies, and pipette performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a life science field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology) or a related discipline.
• 0-2 years of experience in a general laboratory environment performing chemical or biochemical analyses.
• Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Hercules, CA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a life science field.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
