Quality Control Specialist I

Responsibilities

• Perform testing to assess the functional performance of incoming raw and in-process materials to ensure they meet required specifications
• Identify defects or inconsistencies in materials and take necessary corrective actions
• Identify and escalate quality issues to appropriate teams to prevent recurrence and support continuous process improvement
• Collaborate with materials management, manufacturing, R&D, and quality assurance teams
• Maintain laboratory space, perform small-scale bead couplings, and prepare small-scale solutions
• Manage inventory of materials and maintain laboratory equipment

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in physical sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 0-2 years of experience in a general laboratory environment performing analyses in chemistry, biochemistry, or life sciences
• Basic working knowledge of laboratory environments and computer software programs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
