Quality Control Specialist I

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing including qPCR, Real-Time PCR, droplet digital PCR, and SDS-PAGE
• Execute data entry into SAP to document testing results for product release
• Support manufacturing activities by completing assigned testing tasks on time to meet business goals
• Assist with laboratory maintenance and general upkeep to ensure compliance with ISO13485 standards
• Communicate technical issues and concerns promptly to facilitate root cause analysis
• Participate in daily Tier 1 meetings to report on safety, quality, delivery, and inventory updates
• Maintain lab cleanliness and adhere to 5S principles to ensure a safe work environment

Requirements

• Degree in Biology or a related field (or equivalent working knowledge of PCR/biology lab techniques)
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality control environment
• Experience working within GLP and GMP (Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices) environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with ERP systems or SAP preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in chemistry, biochemistry, or associated life sciences areas
• Ability to adapt to changing assignments or testing schedules in a collaborative team setting
