Quality Control Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform assay development, characterization, optimization, transfer, and validation for Quality Control.
• Provide technical support, guidance, and supervision for release, stability, and in-process testing.
• Facilitate assay transfer from R&D to business partners and organize internal/external analytical transfers.
• Review new test procedures, analytical development reports, and validation reports for regulatory compliance.
• Participate in technical troubleshooting, problem investigations, and setting product specifications.
• Mentor and train analysts on systems, processes, and problem-solving techniques.

Requirements

• BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in a laboratory or quality control setting.
• In-depth knowledge of HPLC-based assays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle ambiguous challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Higher level degree (MS or PhD).
• Experience with cell or gene therapy within a biopharmaceutical environment.
