Quality Control Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, and implementation of the Quality Control Management Plan
• Establish and lead quality control initiatives, activities, and corrective actions
• Review project specifications and ensure onsite work complies with contract requirements
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications
• Conduct weekly QC meetings and provide daily QC reports
• Manage Non-Conformance Notices and the Request for Information process
• Record daily quality control observations and maintain project submittal logs
• Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings for definable features of work
• Document and maintain project-specific test and inspection logs
• Coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems
• Maintain project "as-built" drawings and assemble project closeout documents

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in federal construction renovation projects in Alaska
• 2+ years of experience specifically as a QC Manager
• Knowledge of USACE Three Phases of Quality Control
• Experience with hazard identification and safety compliance (ADEC)
• Thorough knowledge of EM 385-1-1
• Familiarity with 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926
• 30-hour Construction Safety training and certificate
• CPR – First Aid certification
• Valid Driver’s License compliant with REAL ID ACT
• Ability to obtain and hold general clearance for military installations

Preferred Qualifications

• USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certificate
• Federal / DoD construction project experience
