Quality Control Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control inspection, testing, and compliance for roll covers produced in Griffin, GA
• Verify that all in-house and vendor-provided work meets established quality standards
• Provide system documentation for QC procedures using SPIs, ISO documentation, and quality audits
• Inspect all rolls prior to shipment and sign off on final approvals
• Perform monthly internal quality audits for covering and millroom operations
• Inspect and test manufacturing operations for non-conformance (Internal Reject and R & A)
• Maintain roll cover SPIs and communicate QC procedures to relevant personnel
• Develop and maintain certification programs for internal employee and vendor training
• Report all quality control updates, status, and issues to the Regional Quality Manager and Plant Manager

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor degree in a technical field preferred
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a production environment
• Solid knowledge of formal quality systems such as ISO, QIT, or TQM
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams)
• Ability to use automated building and equipment controls
• Ability to work in both a machine shop environment and an office setting
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive hand movements
