Quality Control Lead

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment following state and local food facility regulations
• Perform frequent QC inspections on produce and grocery products throughout the warehouse
• Document and maintain accurate records of all food products, including discarded or damaged items
• Validate quality and accuracy of inbound deliveries, including temperature and pressure checks
• Identify and report potential food safety or quality problems to the QC Supervisor
• Ensure non-conforming materials are segregated and labeled for hold, rejection, or sort
• Verify quality and shelf-life of products in backstock and storage
• Serve as backup to QC Supervisor and QA Lead when necessary

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Experience or comfort working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees)
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a repetitive and fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend repetitively
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends if required

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Experience working in a food-based environment
