Quality Control Inspector II

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of incoming materials from suppliers and approve or reject them according to documented processes
• Verify and apply part number labels to approved materials according to inventory specifications
• Use precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and comparators to assess quality
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and standards to determine quality status
• Perform inspections on machined parts using knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Document and maintain inspection results and paperwork accurately using Microsoft Office
• Communicate non-conforming materials to management and support First Article Inspection (FAI)
• Support corrective actions, deviations, and customer complaints
• Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities for the quality program

Requirements

• High School diploma or a two-year technical degree from an accredited institution
• 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within an ISO-13485 or ISO-9001 certified Quality Management System
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools including calipers and micrometers
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related discipline
• Experience in medical devices, bioprocessing equipment, military, or aerospace industry inspection
• Understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
