Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined, fabricated, sub-assembled, and assembled parts including raw materials and purchased components
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
• Control, record, and calibrate inspection tools, instruments, and shop control fixtures
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and formulas to ensure compliance
• Utilize CMM, GMM, Portable CMM, hardness testing, and NDT for part inspection
• Coordinate with the Engineering department to resolve deficiencies, discrepancies, or non-conformance
• Review Certificates of Conformance and material certificates against company requirements
• Execute enterprise transactions for electronic inspection queues and discrepant material reports (DMRs)
• Use hand trucks, forklifts, and overhead hoists to move parts weighing up to 6000 pounds

Requirements

• Associates Degree and two years of manufacturing experience, OR five years of quality assurance experience
• Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment such as micrometers and calipers
• Ability to use CMM and GMM
• Ability to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid weld inspection certification (CWB Level I or AWS)
• Exposure to CSA W47.1, CSA W59, AWS D1.1, and ABS standards
