Quality Control Inspector - Civil

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection of civil and structural activities such as excavation, formwork, rebar placement, concrete, finishing, and backfilling
• Verify that all materials and workmanship comply with approved project specifications, standards, and ITP
• Review and verify civil work procedures, method statements, and checklists before execution
• Ensure that approved drawings and latest revisions are being used on site
• Witness and document all quality control tests including slump, cube, and compaction tests
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action records
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as ASTM, ACI, BS, and ISO
• Participate in internal and external audits and assist in closing audit findings
• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality requirements are met

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 5–8 years of experience as a Civil QCI in EPC or construction projects
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors preferred
• Familiarity with project specifications, QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and method statements
• Knowledge of international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO)
• Understanding of EPC project lifecycle
