Quality Control Inspector - Civil

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of civil and structural activities including excavation, formwork, rebar placement, concrete, finishing, and backfilling
• Verify that all materials and workmanship comply with approved project specifications, standards, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
• Review and verify civil work procedures, method statements, and checklists prior to execution
• Ensure the latest approved drawings and revisions are utilized on-site
• Witness and document quality control tests such as slump, cube, and compaction tests
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action records
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues
• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure all quality requirements are met
• Participate in internal and external audits and assist in closing audit findings

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 5–8 years of experience as a Civil QCI within EPC or construction projects
• Proven experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors
• Strong knowledge of international standards including ASTM, ACI, BS, and ISO
• Familiarity with project specifications, QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and method statements
• Solid understanding of the EPC project lifecycle
