Quality Control

Responsibilities

• Walk the warehouse and cold rooms multiple times daily to inspect inventory quality
• Check receiving dates and ensure proper case rotation in pick slots
• Work with warehouse staff to check back stock on upper-tier racking
• Recommend product movement to Repack or clearance departments to Sales and Buying
• Communicate needs and opportunities closely with Buyers, QA, and Operations
• Participate in internal and external quality and food safety audits
• Report quality and food safety issues and trends to management

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience in warehouse shipping and handling
• Experience with WMS AS 400
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of fresh produce or perishables industry
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and reach regularly
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Inventory management experience
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely
