Quality Control Associate

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control inspections on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products
• Perform environmental monitoring through swabbing and equipment calibration verification
• Monitor GMP compliance and allergen management procedures
• Ensure regulatory compliance through monitoring of product labeling, CCPs, and PRPs
• Maintain accurate reports and records including CCP, PCP, and line verification
• Input and verify data in QA tracking systems such as Google Sheets and WMS
• Manage Out of Spec findings including Deviations, Corrective Actions, and Product Holds
• Assist management in troubleshooting production process problems

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Biological, Chemical, or Food Sciences
• 6 months to 1 year of QC/QA experience in food processing or manufacturing
• Understanding of Safe Food for Canadians Regulations and GFSI schemes
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)
• Strong English communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Apps

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RTE (Ready-to-Eat) products
• Level 1 First Aid certification
