Quality Control Associate

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control inspections on inbound inventory, work-in-progress, and finished products
• Perform environmental monitoring, equipment calibration, and ATP swabbing
• Respond to quality and best before date issues on production lines
• Maintain communication with Operations, Procurement, and Logistics teams regarding non-conformance
• Lead production associates in ingredient sorting
• Conduct GMP audits and pre-operational inspections
• Monitor PRPs, PCs, and allergen management protocols
• Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations and food safety standards

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Biological, Chemical, or Food Sciences
• 6 months to 1 year of QC/QA experience in food processing or manufacturing
• Understanding of Safe Food for Canadians Regulations and GFSI schemes
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Apps
• Strong communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 1 First Aid certification
