About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections for assigned areas, including capability studies for prototype and PPAP parts
- Conduct in-process, first-off, and last-off inspections to identify defective products
- Validate incoming material against certifications and print specifications using measurement tools such as calipers and shadowgraphs
- Complete all required documentation, including inspection data sheets, tagging, and non-conformance reports (NCR)
- Monitor and inspect received, in-process, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met before shipping
- Maintain the integrity and cleanliness of quality gauges on the shop floor and in the laboratory
- Participate in corrective and preventive action programs and continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, operators, and quality personnel regarding quality alerts and containment
Requirements
- Grade 12 equivalent or higher
- Quality Assurance certificate and/or a minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Basic knowledge of computer software
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs and work with push/pull forces of up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods in a plant environment
