Quality Assurance Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory analysis across raw materials, intermediates, final products, utilities, and wastewater streams
• Record, trend, and analyse test results; escalate and investigate non-conformances
• Maintain and update laboratory documentation and standard operating procedures
• Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and verification of laboratory equipment
• Maintain laboratory supplies and coordinate servicing with external providers
• Support investigations by providing data insights to resolve quality issues
• Prepare reports and contribute to production KPI tracking
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory and production areas
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Health & Safety, Environmental and Maintenance

Requirements

• Third-level qualification in Science, Food Science, or a related discipline
• Previous laboratory experience in a regulated environment (e.g., ISO, BRC, GMP)
• Knowledge of quality and food safety standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO22000/FSSC22000, BRC, ISO14001)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with laboratory systems such as LIMS or SAP
• Ability to accurately record, analyse, and report data
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in IT skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in assay validation, calibration, or troubleshooting of instruments
• Experience preparing KPI reports or performing trend analysis
• Experience contributing to audits or compliance processes
• Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives
