About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and motivation to the quality team to support a positive team environment.
- Conduct in-process audits of manufactured goods and inspect raw materials for compliance with specifications.
- Perform scheduled inspections of finished goods and raw materials using calibrated measuring devices.
- Oversee processes for finished goods, Returned Goods Authorization (RGA), Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR), and damaged products.
- Support product recall and vendor return processes through physical identification and segregation of product.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, acceptance/rejection activities, and calibration documentation in the ERP system.
- Generate and manipulate Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Identify quality problems, seek resolutions, and communicate product failures or improvement suggestions to management.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies and the company's ISO Quality System.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office environments.
- Mathematical proficiency, including the ability to work with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school.
- Three to six months of related experience and/or training in a quality assurance role.
