Quality Assurance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to lab team members to maximize product quality, food safety, and productivity.
• Ensure proper procedures are followed for product quality, employee safety, and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Support Quality Assurance systems including HACCP, GMP programs, sanitation programs, and process specifications.
• Coordinate work schedules and estimate labor requirements to ensure continuous lab coverage and production support.
• Perform record reviews, report variances, and support internal and external audits.
• Analyze and resolve quality and food safety variances through root cause analysis.
• Supervise assigned employees, including scheduling, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
• Review and update product testing procedures and maintain accurate quality and food safety records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-based area (e.g., Microbiology, Food Science, Dairy Science) preferred, or a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated laboratory experience in a lead role.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and LIMS application.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to support plant operations.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving noise, changing temperatures, and physical requirements such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in dairy food manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SAP.
