Quality Assurance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including standard notes and symbols.
• Perform inspection operations using automatic and manual gages, fixtures, and equipment.
• Conduct gage inspection, calibration, and R&D using tools such as micrometers, calipers, CMM, and hardness testers.
• Collect and record data on company supplier documents, including travelers, data sheets, and setup sheets.
• Verify the accuracy and completion of data packages, including non-destructive testing records and material certifications.
• Create and modify quality control forms to support ISO 9001 requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Competence in blueprint reading and proficiency in shop math.
• Strong understanding of gaging and gage reading.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to move freely around the facility and lift up to 40 pounds with limited bending and reaching.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree.
• Equivalent experience in a precision component manufacturing environment.
