Quality Assurance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen quality culture
• Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions to support production teams
• Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, including reporting KPIs and analyzing data
• Conduct internal audits, review documentation, and maintain accurate quality records
• Develop quality standards, corrective actions, and follow-up plans
• Review and implement customer quality specifications and represent the quality function during customer visits
• Liaise with suppliers and external service providers to maintain high standards
• Provide training, coaching, and support to shop-floor teams on quality topics

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• Proven experience in a quality-focused role
• Experience working within ISO9001 or AS9100 environments
• Internal audit training
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Lead auditor experience
• Experience in aerospace, lean activities, or human factors
• Familiarity with FMEA and statistical tools such as Minitab
• Strong project management skills
