Quality Assurance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead external certification audits such as IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3.
• Conduct various internal audits including Quality System (QSA), Quality Process (QPA), Product (PA), and Thematic (TA) audits.
• Manage Quality Cost (Q-Cost) by collecting and analyzing Appraisal, Prevention, and Failure costs to identify reduction opportunities.
• Define, monitor, and report on key quality KPIs to management and implement corrective action plans.
• Document audit results, analyze trends, and oversee corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, operations engineering, or a technical field (e.g., chemical, automotive, semiconductor, or batteries).
• Certified IATF 16949 Internal Auditor.
• Strong understanding of internal audit processes (QSA, QPA, PA).
• Ability to work multiple shifts, including weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Physical ability to lift 40 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment involving exposure to noise, chemicals, and mechanical hazards.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with external certification audits such as VDA 6.3.
• Familiarity with Q-Cost analysis and cost reduction strategies.
• Experience in quality KPI management and performance tracking.
• Proficiency in data processing using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Completion of Core Tool Training (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, CP, and PPAP).
