Quality Assurance Specialist in Steel Bridge Construction

Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) of materials and welds, including documentation.
• Conduct production-related controls and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Manage incoming goods inspections for externally processed components.
• Monitor and inspect steel construction and corrosion protection work at subcontractor sites and construction sites.
• Provide general quality assurance across various production areas.
• Support the monitoring and testing of corrosion protection processes as required.

Requirements

• Qualification in non-destructive testing (NDT) according to DIN EN ISO 9712, Level 2.
• Proficiency in Visual testing (VT), Ultrasonic testing (UT), and Magnetic particle testing (MT).
• Practical knowledge of welding technology (steel construction, mechanical engineering, or similar).
• Strong communication skills in both oral and written forms; English proficiency is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, structurally, and with a high degree of accuracy.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to construction sites and subcontractor locations.
• Availability to work in a 2-shift system (Monday - Friday).

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional NDT qualifications such as Penetrant testing (PT) or Radiographic testing (RT/film evaluation).
• Qualifications as a Foreman (Kolonnenführer), KOR-Schein ZTV-ING, or Coating Inspector.
