Quality Assurance Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Review a predetermined number of mortgage loan applications to ensure compliance with company policies and prudent underwriting decisions.
• Evaluate files prior to closing to verify adherence to underwriting guidelines.
• Conduct timely, efficient, and objective quality assurance reviews.
• Support external audit processes by gathering internal system information and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Analyze root causes, patterns, and trends to assist in the development and implementation of internal control procedures.
• Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) requirements and other regulatory standards.
• Provide clear and detailed explanations, analyses, and recommendations in both French and English.

Requirements

• Bilingualism in French and English is required for interacting with diverse clients and partners.
• Postsecondary degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven knowledge of residential mortgage underwriting practices.
• Deep understanding of mortgage operations and credit policies, including principles, processes, and products.
• Experience in identifying and reviewing potentially fraudulent mortgage applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Microsoft Access is considered an asset.
