About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform post-funding reviews of mortgage applications to ensure adherence to company policies and prudent underwriting decisions
  • Review files prior to closing to verify compliance with underwriting guidelines
  • Conduct Quality Assurance reviews in a timely, efficient, and objective manner
  • Support external audit processes by gathering system information and addressing auditor inquiries
  • Analyze root causes, patterns, and trends to assist in developing internal control procedures
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure AML requirements are met
  • Communicate effectively in both French and English with customers and partners

Requirements

  • Bilingualism in French and English is required for interacting with customers and partners
  • University degree, post-secondary education, or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of residential underwriting practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of mortgage operations and credit policies
  • Experience identifying and investigating potentially fraudulent mortgage applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Microsoft Access skills are an asset
