Quality Assurance & Regulatory Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and support QA Technicians and Specialists through training, guidance, and scheduling.
• Perform routine food safety and quality checks, including temperature monitoring, weight verification, and receiving inspections.
• Review FSQA and production documentation daily to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct internal audits and compliance programs, including GMP, environmental monitoring, and mock recalls.
• Lead site environmental monitoring programs, including swab site selection and coordinating third-party laboratory pickups.
• Assist the FSQA Manager in developing SOPs, CAPA follow-ups, and customer complaint investigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Production, Sanitation, R&D, and Procurement.
• Maintain and enforce site FSQA programs to promote a strong food safety culture.

Requirements

• HACCP certification is required.
• Working knowledge of quality assurance tools, methods, and concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
• Ability to work in cold temperature environments, including refrigerated coolers and freezers.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and stand for shifts of 8+ hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science.
• 2 years of food manufacturing experience.
• SQF and PCQI certifications.
