Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of the full Quality Management System (QMS) for the Chilliwack facility.
• Align processes with FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP, and regulatory requirements including CFIA and FDA.
• Develop and maintain HACCP plans for both solid and liquid premix operations.
• Establish and oversee GMP systems, including sanitation, pest control, and raw material/finished goods flow.
• Manage non-conformance processes, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Own the design, implementation, and governance of the facility's document management system.
• Ensure full audit readiness for internal, customer, and third-party certification audits.
• Manage traceability systems, including lot tracking, recall readiness, and mock recalls.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of QA leadership experience in food, nutraceutical, or premix manufacturing.
• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Expertise in FSMA, GMP, HACCP, and GFSI standards.
• HACCP / Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification.
• Auditor certification for FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, SQF, or BRC.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s license.
• Proven experience managing QA/QC teams and external copackers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with greenfield plant setup and QMS development.
• Experience in both solid and liquid processing environments.
• Certification in FSMA / HARPC compliance.
• Training in specialized Document Management Systems.
