Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Assurance and Software Quality Assurance Plans in accordance with DOE O 414
• Maintain the ISSC Contractor Assurance System Plan in accordance with DOE O 226
• Establish CAS performance measures and monitor contractor performance
• Develop and submit quarterly CAS trend reports to management and the DOE
• Establish an annual integrated oversight schedule of audits and assessments
• Perform audits and assessments and ensure internal findings are properly categorized
• Maintain a Qualified Suppliers List and submit ORPS Reports
• Provide training to staff and ISSC employees on QA Program procedures
• Supervise personnel assigned to the Quality Assurance department
• Foster a strong safety culture and address employee concerns

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or a comparable field
• 8+ years of directly applicable experience
• 2+ years of management experience
• Training and experience performing causal analyses
• Proficiency in MS Office and database management
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a government vehicle
• US citizenship and ability to obtain an "L" Department of Energy security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification and experience in auditing to ISO 9001 standards
• Previous U.S. Department of Energy QA experience
• Experience with NQA-1 quality standard
