About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Programs aligned with NQA-1, ISO 9001, and mission-critical data center standards.
- Lead and conduct internal, external, and supplier audits specifically tied to mechanical and electrical systems and commissioning phases.
- Ensure full compliance with client-specific requirements, Uptime Institute best practices, and applicable industry codes.
- Manage and mentor QA/QC professionals and auditors across multiple data center sites.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to embed quality processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee audit planning, execution, corrective actions, and preventive action programs.
- Maintain and analyze key quality metrics to identify trends and risks in M/E installation and testing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client quality representatives and regulatory assessments.
- Support supplier qualification, surveillance activities, and factory witness testing for major MEP equipment.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and turnover of all quality-related records and system verification packages.
Requirements
- 15+ years of quality assurance and auditing experience, with significant exposure to data center construction or mission-critical infrastructure.
- Active NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification (required).
- Strong working knowledge of NQA-1, ISO 9001, NEC, ASME, API, and applicable M/E construction standards.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience managing cross-functional quality teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with QA software, audit tools, and reporting platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
