About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) through routine audits and assessments on power generation projects
  • Identify, schedule, coordinate, and conduct project audits, including soliciting additional auditors as needed
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the QMS, ASME Quality Control Manual, and Work Instructions on-site
  • Document findings and implement corrective or preventive actions to mitigate quality risks
  • Evaluate assessment findings to identify lessons learned, best practices, and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Mentor and coach jobsite personnel to develop future leaders within the quality discipline
  • Provide training on the QMS and related procedures for jobsite personnel
  • Coordinate audit staffing needs and assign qualified personnel to assist with assessments

Requirements

  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or related systems-based fields with strict quality control standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 35-50% to perform operational assessments and attend conferences
  • Proficiency in computer-based technology
  • Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in varying temperature extremes and outdoor conditions
  • Physical ability to move in confined/cluttered spaces and occasionally lift 20 pounds or more

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in quality inspector, manager, or quality assurance roles
  • Experience in utility construction
  • Professional certifications such as CWI, CQI, CQE, or CQA
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards (ACI, AWS, ASME, NEC, etc.)
  • Experience with database and spreadsheet management
