Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the facility’s QA department and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
• Define, implement, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Implement and maintain sanitation and quality control practices for product safety and consistency
• Adhere to HACCP, allergen, and sanitization management programs
• Lead site Root Cause investigations and review findings for product quality issues
• Manage non-conforming materials and partner with procurement regarding supplier issues
• Track quality KPIs, analyze data, and execute corrective action plans
• Manage, train, and develop QA/QC employees to foster a high-performance culture

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in a regulated production organization
• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a similar field
• Experience using a Quality Management System (QMS)
• Experience leading root cause problem solving
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass required background checks
• Must be approved by state badging agencies for the cannabis industry

Preferred Qualifications

• FDA cGMP competency in 21 CFR Part 111 & 117
• Cannabis industry experience
• 3-5 years of progressive leadership responsibility
• Certifications such as SQF, ISO, GMP, ASQ, or HACCP
