Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the facility’s QA/QC department and ensure all employees follow standard operating procedures
• Edit, review, and approve SOPs, batch production records, and work instructions
• Review and release batches in accordance with state and company standards
• Define, implement, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Lead quality initiatives including document control, complaint handling, investigations, and CAPAs
• Implement sanitation and quality control practices to ensure product purity and consistency
• Lead site Root Cause investigations and review findings
• Manage, train, and develop QA/QC employees
• Track quality KPIs and execute corrective action plans
• Lead Monthly Site Quality Reviews with leadership

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in a regulated production organization
• Demonstrated experience with all QMS elements
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Ability to pass background checks and obtain state badging

Preferred Qualifications

• FDA cGMP competency in 21 CFR Part 111 & 117
• Cannabis industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or similar
• 3-5 years of progressive leadership responsibility
• SQF, ISO, GMP, ASQ, or HACCP certification
• Experience using an eQMS
• Understanding of Medical Marijuana laws and regulations
