About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate quality forensic analysis services in accordance with COMAR standards
- Document investigations and crime scenes using notes, photography, and 3D scans
- Recover and process physical evidence
- Perform functionality testing of firearms and complete NIBIN acquisitions and serial number restoration
- Attend autopsies and transport forensic evidence to various laboratories
- Provide professional testimony in court proceedings
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science or a Natural Science (such as Chemistry, Physics, or Biology)
- Completion of a laboratory training program as determined by the laboratory director
- Must be in good standing with demonstrated progressively responsible experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of laboratory or crime scene experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience
